What a great start of the year for our Toute Petite Section (2 to 3 years old) ! We have learned and experienced so many new and different things as the children took their first steps into the realm of the English language. As we began our journey, the children began with simple but important vocabulary: yes, no, again, and please.

We delved further and talked about pumpkins, Halloween, the season of autumn, and fruits and vegetables. This month of October, the children played with leaves and pumpkins, and learned about the various colors of fall. We used scrap paper, stickers, and paints to solidify our understanding of colors and textures. The children sang songs about autumn leaves changing colors, and about all the different fruits that one might put into a fruit salad. It has been a real joy to spend the afternoons in class with them !
